Meet Kym

Kym Bachtell
Certified Yoga Instructor | Trauma-Informed Practitioner | Christ-Centered Teacher

Kym walks by the Light of Christ, holding up a lantern so others can see it too. For her, Jesus is not a concept, but a living presence—one who does not rush pain, shame weakness, or require polish before love.

Through gentle movement, breath, and stillness, Kym offers spaces where people can return to their bodies, remember they are beloved, and feel safe enough to rest—and sometimes, to pray again.

Her faith is quiet and rooted. And when she forgets herself, when she gives too much, when she carries others’ sorrow too long —

Christ does not scold her.

He says:

“Come away with Me.”
And she knows that voice.

“You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives.” —Genesis 50:20

SELAH YOGA

What Is Selah Yoga?

At reROOTED, yoga is a Christ-centered practice of movement, breath, and stillness that helps you care for your body, quiet your mind, and draw near to God. The word Selah, found throughout Scripture, invites us to pause, reflect, and rest in His presence.

Our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19–20), and yoga is one way to honor God with them. Through mindful postures, intentional breathing, and prayerful stillness, we strengthen the body, calm the mind, and create space to focus on the Lord.

Yoga is not a religion—it is a tool to help you:

  • Be still before God (Psalm 46:10)

  • Renew your mind (Romans 12:2)

  • Find peace that surpasses understanding (Philippians 4:7)

  • Care for your body as a gift from God (1 Timothy 4:8)

This practice supports both physical health—strength, flexibility, balance—and spiritual growth, helping you slow down, reduce stress, and listen more closely to God’s voice.

Selah Yoga is a sacred pause: a chance to rest, breathe, pray, and remember that you are held by Him.

“Come to me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” —Matthew 11:28

"I love the softness and redirection Kym offers. She helps direct in a way that doesn't feel condemning. She takes you to those places that are deep rooted in a soft and gentle way yet teaches you how to be accountable to yourself. This makes growing so much less painful. It's like having a mom and best friend wrapped in one!"
